Eric Wat currently serves as the Fiscal Manager at the Asian Pacific American Dispute Resolution Center (APADRC). Mr. Wat first joined APADRC in June 2018 as its Interim Executive Director.
Prior to APADRC, Mr. Wat was the Interim Associate Director at the Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team in 2017 and the Director of Research & Evaluation at Special Service for Groups between 2003 and 2016. Currently he also serves as the board treasurer of Khmer Girls in Action in Long Beach and fosters rescue dogs for Angel City Pit Bulls.
Mr. Wat also has a thriving writing career. He published his first book, The Making of a Gay Asian Community: An Oral History of Pre-AIDS Los Angeles, in 2002 (Rowman & Littlefield). His novel, SWIM, is released in 2019 by the Permanent Press. For his next book, he’s currently working on a community memoir of the AIDS movement in the Asian & Pacific Islander communities in Los Angeles.
