DESCRIPTION:A critical look at how AAPI identities are represented in the field of mental health and how it is shaped by race. This workshop will seek to appraise participants of the historical racial discrimination of AAPIs in the US\, how racial discrimination affects AAPI individuals\, and how AAPI individuals cope with mental health challenges stemming from racial discrimination. The workshop will suggest strategies on how AAPI individuals can effectively manage their mental wellness and combat racial discrimination. \nParticipants must be 18+. \nThe webinar is hosted by OCAPICA Well(ness)essity Program. DESCRIPTION:Let’s Help One Another Feel Better and Do Better. \nA Mental Health Discussion about PTSD from COVID-19 and Anti-Asian Hate Trauma\, Its Effects\, and How We Can Cope. \nMay is Mental Health Awareness Month\, and in celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month\, NAFFAA and its organizational partners will be hosting a safe space where we can talk about the effects of Anti Asian Acts and what we can do to cope with the PTSD when they happen to us. \nWe will also cover other issues caused by the COVID situation like depression\, anxiety\, economic distress\, family issues and grief.
