DESCRIPTION:This interactive remote workshop will focus on the unique challenges faced by professionals working in the health and social services fields. It is designed for anyone working in this sector whether their role is executive\, managerial\, administrative\, or direct services. \nThis free workshop will address the stressors that can contribute to burnout and compassion fatigue for those who work in social change or helping professions. You’ve likely chosen this work because you’re passionate\, mission-driven\, and want to make a difference in the lives of others. Yet\, your own dedication and/or the demands of the work can make it challenging to prioritize self-care. The success of any organization depends on the wellbeing of the staff. Individual needs don’t have to be at odds with the mission of the organization. This workshop will offer recommendations for avoiding burnout and compassion fatigue from both an individual and organizational perspective. \n\nHave a greater understanding of how stress impacts those in the health and social services sector and can contribute to burnout and compassion fatigue.\nLearn 5 ways that organizations can support the wellbeing of health and social service professionals.\nPractice 2-3 simple stress reduction modalities that can easily be incorporated into your workday.\nCreate a self-care plan.\nLearn about additional steps you and/or your  organization can take to prioritize self-care.
