ASIAN AMERICAN PACIFIC ISLANDER HERITAGE MONTH PANEL

May 27, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

This May, we commemorate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month by centering the celebration’s theme on: Reflecting on our Narratives: What Does American Mean to Me?The AAPI Heritage Month provides an opportunity to learn and develop a deeper understanding of how our programs exemplify the meaning of what it means to be American by appreciating the contributions of our AAPI communities. It is also a month to celebrate and draw inspiration from AAPI leaders who are continuing to work toward achieving equity and promoting policies and practices that help vulnerable communities thrive.

Please join us for a lunchtime conversation to explore the theme of what it means to be American in the AAPI community with our own CDSS leaders:

• Salena Chow, Chief Operating Officer, California Department of Social Services

• Yang Lee, Assistant Director, Adult Programs Division

• Don Foley, Branch Chief, Information Systems Division

• Jasdeep Deoja, Manager, Administration Division
