PAC Survivor Center Training: Trauma and Working with Survivors of Child, Sex, and Labor Trafficking
Working with survivors of human trafficking requires
knowledge and training about vulnerabilities, behaviors, trauma, and
recovery that are unique to this population. Children, adolescents, and
adults can all be trafficked and targeted by exploiters who use coercion,
manipulation and grooming to secure victims. This course for victim
advocates, attorneys, and social service providers will present an
overview of risk factors, trauma reactions of survivors, grooming and
traffickers, understanding of child, sex and labor trafficking and
information about resources and services available.
