Bridging the Gap: What is Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion?

April 20, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Hosted by the Council of Korean Americans (CKA) and Korean American Coalition – Los Angeles (KAC), this two-hour summit is intended to engage Korean American college students, recent graduates, and young professionals with a discussion on DEI and its relevance to the national discourse on race relations and anti-Asian sentiment. Some of the topics we are planning to cover include inward-facing issues such as intergenerational dynamics and intercultural conflicts within the Korean American community and outward-facing topics such as the Atlanta spa shooting, discrimination against Asians with regards to the Covid-19 pandemic, and anti-Asian sentiment in general.

Catch up with fellow ING alumni, Ulia Ahn and Scott Lee, as they reflect upon their experiences from last year’s program and share their life updates. As part of our inaugural class, meet and connect with us online so we can hear from you too!

Panel Speakers:

  • Jeannie Park, Former Executive Editor of People Magazine
  • Joseph Jeon, Professor in the Department of English at the University of California, Irvine
  • Catharina Min, Partner at Covington & Burling LLP

Featured ING Alumni:
